Terra Blevins

I'm a sixth year PhD student in the Natural Language Processing group at the University of Washington, where I'm advised by Luke Zettlemoyer. I graduated from Columbia University with a BA in Computer Science, where I worked with Kathy McKeown.

I'm generally interested in understanding what underlying linguistic phenomena are captured by the NLP systems we use and how we can better incorporate missing information into them. Recently, this has involved studying models in the multilingual space in order to understand how they acquire unsupervised cross-lingual transfer.
